Darkroom Color Analyzer is your most convenient companion in the color darkroom.
Its a serious tool helping you finding the correct Y-M-C settings for your color enlarger.
Darkrook Color Analyzer features 2 modes:
Mode A: Analyze print
1. Point your iPhone or iPad to a grey card and press the WBAL button
2. Point your iPhone or iPad to your developed photo and press the FREZ button
3. Touch inside the camera view to select a grey area in your image. Darkroom Color Analyzer automatically computes the color corrections. Just transfer these values to your enlarger.
Alternatively you may press the AVRG button to compute auto-white-balance your photo. Press the PREV button to preview your photo in corrected colors.
You can also move the color sliders to preview manual corrections.
Mode B: Analyze negative
1. Put a negative with a grey card image in your enlarger.
2. Place your iPhone (with display up) under your enlarger and read the color values. Put a diffusor on your iPhones camera to get a blurred image.
3. Modify your enlargers color controls until the Darkroom Color Analyzer displays "000" for each Y-M-C channel.
Before using the negative analyzer you have to calibrate it. That means you have to develop a photo with good color results first. Then, press the STORE REF button to store a the values as a reference.
